EVENT SUMMARY

In January of 2016 Larissa Hadjio launched her first clothing collection, HADJIO. The launch event was produced as an informal presentation of the collection, intended to showcase the label’s debut as “Every-wear for Everywhere,” or multi functional, permanent wardrobe staples, rather than fleeting seasonal pieces. Every 30 minutes, models would congregate on the podium installation at the center of the event space, allowing attendees to witness the casual functionality of the collection and engage with the models in a laid back, social setting.

MY ROLE

The designer and I outlined the vision and scope of the event together, and as project manager I was responsible for producing the 100-person press event to launch the collection. My goal was to create an environment that captured the brand’s feel and aesthetic.

In addition to the launch event, my role at Hadjio was to conduct press and buyer outreach for the label, check on production to ensure that inventory schedules were on track, and travel to stores for client meetings.

PROCESS

Secure event venue / source beverage and food sponsors / press and guest outreach/ site visits / hire photographers / design presentation layout / influencer outreach / manage inventory production to have product available for purchase at event / task management and delegation / deliverable schedules
